One compliment that we've received from many of our users is their thanks for making their draft run smoother and at a more timely rate than ever before. Everyone loves the draft, but waiting for that one owner who just takes forever, disregards the clock, and is always out for smoke breaks, can just drag things on. Some of the features in FanDraft, such as the live clock, audio alerts, and even the ability to skip picks when the clock hits zero, helps the draft chugging along at a perfect flow. However, if time is of a great factor to your draft, then deciding how long each owner gets for each selection is something that should be deeply considered before your draft starts.
We provided some visuals for you to determine what the maximum length of your draft would be if every owner took the maximum time for each of their picks. Of course, not every owner will take the full allotment of time for each pick, so you can factor that in too, however, this should be a nice starting point.
To properly read these visuals, just find the grid with your league size in the title, then align the "Minutes per pick" with "Number of Rounds" that will take place in your draft. Note: the fractions are not minutes, but fraction of an hour (i.e "1.5= 1 and 1/2 hours).
